Jeremy Camp’s Song “Again” Is a Raw Reminder of God’s Endless Grace
It’s often in our lowest moments that God speaks the loudest. For Christian singer Jeremy Camp, inspiration struck in the aftermath of an argument with his wife. The next morning, weighed down by guilt and regret, Jeremy got in his car, overwhelmed by the familiar feelings of failure. But just like He’s done countless times before, God met him there—in that quiet, broken moment. That encounter became the birthplace of his new single, “Again.”
The song is a vulnerable and honest reflection of how we tend to fall into the same patterns and make the same mistakes. But the beauty of the Gospel is this: we can’t out-sin God’s mercy. No matter how many times we mess up, His grace is ready to meet us. “Again” is not just a song—it’s a cry of surrender. It’s about the kind of love that never gives up, the kind of redemption that comes not once, but over and over again.
Jeremy shares, “It was a beautiful realization that no matter how many times we stumble, His grace is always there to lift us up again.” He admits to struggling with that truth—especially when it feels like he’s making the same mistakes on repeat. But through it all, he’s reminded that God’s arms are always open.
Importantly, Camp is clear that this song isn’t about using God’s grace as a free pass. “This experience wasn’t about using God’s forgiveness as an excuse,” he says. “It inspired me to trust Him more deeply and strive for better. It’s about learning to rely on His strength, not my own.”
“Again” echoes what so many of us feel but struggle to express: the ongoing journey of falling down and getting back up, not in our own power, but by God’s unending mercy. And that message is worth singing over and over… again.
