The much-anticipated Season 5 of The Chosen is set to premiere on Prime Video this June, offering viewers a powerful and emotional portrayal of the final days of Jesus before His crucifixion. Titled The Chosen: Last Supper, this eight-episode installment will roll out in three parts: the first two episodes on June 15, three more on June 22, and the final three on June 29. International fans in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sub-Saharan Africa, the UK, and Latin America can catch the new season in July.

Since its debut, The Chosen has touched over 250 million lives around the globe, dramatizing the life of Jesus through the eyes of those who followed Him. Created, written, and directed by Dallas Jenkins, the series has grown to become one of the most-watched faith-based productions ever, delivering heartfelt moments and life-changing messages.

“This is our biggest season yet,” Jenkins shared. “But what makes it most beautiful are the intimate moments—Jesus with His mother, His female followers, and of course, the Last Supper with His disciples. It’s deeply personal.”

Season 5 opened in theaters on March 28 in the U.S. and April 11 internationally, already earning nearly $60 million in global ticket sales. The new season picks up with Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, leading to the cleansing of the temple, one final meal with His disciples, and ultimately, His betrayal and arrest.

Jonathan Roumie returns as Jesus, joined by beloved cast members portraying Peter, Matthew, Mary Magdalene, Andrew, John, and more. Actor Luke Dimyan, who plays Judas, describes this season as one of inner conflict. “Judas is struggling to understand Jesus’ plan. He’s torn, confused, and lost, like many of us are before we come face to face with God’s purpose,” Dimyan reflected.

Amazon MGM Studios has also entered a first-look deal with 5&2 Studios, ensuring more opportunities to spread the Gospel story through screen media. Season six, now in production, will cover the crucifixion. The seventh and final season will focus on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

As this journey unfolds on screen, it’s a timely reminder to reflect deeply on the passion, sacrifice, and victory of Jesus. The Chosen invites believers and seekers alike to come closer, to listen, and to follow.
