The Chosen Season 6 Trailer Released, Giving a Powerful First Look at Jesus’ Journey to the Cross

The wait is over.

The Chosen has officially released the first trailer for Season 6, offering viewers a moving glimpse into one of the most significant moments in the life of Jesus Christ—His journey to the cross.

After five seasons following Jesus’ ministry, miracles, and the lives He transformed, the series now enters the final days leading to His crucifixion. The newly released trailer portrays the weight of betrayal, suffering, sacrifice, and unwavering love as the story unfolds toward Calvary.

The trailer opens with an emotional moment between Jesus and His mother, Mary, before showing scenes of Judas struggling with the consequences of his betrayal, the disciples facing fear and uncertainty, and Jesus enduring His trial, scourging, and the crown of thorns.

While many Christians already know these events through Scripture, The Chosen continues to bring the biblical account to life through storytelling that encourages viewers to reflect on Christ’s sacrifice in a personal way.

Actor Jonathan Roumie, who portrays Jesus, has previously encouraged audiences not to skip this season despite its emotional weight, reminding viewers that while the cross is painful, it ultimately points to the hope of the resurrection.

Season 6 premieres on Prime Video (US) beginning November 15, with the first three episodes released on launch day, followed by weekly episodes through December 6. The season finale, depicting Jesus’ final hours before His death, is also scheduled for a theatrical release in 2027.

Before the new season begins, fans can also look forward to The Chosen in the Wild with Bear Grylls, premiering on August 9, where members of the cast and creator Dallas Jenkins take on outdoor adventures alongside survival expert Bear Grylls.

Since its debut, The Chosen has become one of the world’s most-watched faith-based series, reaching audiences in more than 125 languages and continuing to expand with new projects for viewers of all ages.

As Holy Week reminds believers each year, the cross was never the end of the story. Season 6 invites viewers to walk with Jesus through His suffering while looking ahead to the victory of His resurrection.
