Faith in the Silence

Key Verse:
The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee followed Joseph and saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it.” — Luke 23:55 (NIV)

Scripture References:
Luke 23:50–56, Psalm 130:5–6, Lamentations 3:25–26

Devotional:
Black Saturday feels quiet… almost too quiet.

Jesus is in the tomb. The disciples are grieving. Heaven seems silent.

This is the space between promise and fulfillment.
Between heartbreak and hope.

And yet, silence does not mean absence.

God is still working—even when we cannot see it. Even when the story feels paused. Even when all we can do is wait.

Black Saturday speaks to every season where prayers feel unanswered and hope feels distant.

Stay. Trust. Wait.

Because just beyond the silence… resurrection is coming.

Prayer:
God, in the quiet seasons, help me trust You. When I cannot see Your hand, remind me of Your heart. Strengthen my faith as I wait for Your promises to unfold. Amen.
